4.7 earthquake near Portoviejo Ecuador, residents alarmed

A big scare yesterday took Manta and Portoviejo residents felt a tremor when at about 04:30.
According to the Geophysical Institute of the National Polytechnic, the quake had a magnitude of 4.7 degrees and a depth of 10 kilometers. The epicenter was located about a mile south of Portoviejo. Read Article
