150 million pesos worth of heroin seized in Colombia

The police department of Risaralda, Colombia seized eight kilos of heroin worth 150 million pesos. Two men and two women were arrested during the operation, La Tarde reports. They are suspected of involvement in a drug trafficking ring that uses cars to camouflage the drugs. The operation occurred in the sector known as La Postrera, in the Santa Rosa de Cabal municipality, when passengers in a car stopped at a checkpoint began to act suspiciously. Officials searched the vehicle, and after unscrewing the gearbox, discovered the heroin wrapped in 14 packages. Read Article
