Woman Found with 43 Marijuana Plants in Brazilian City of Diadema

On January 8, 2013, Gazeta do Povo reported that authorities discovered 43 marijuana plants in a woman’s apartment in the city of Diadema, in the state of São Paulo. She was arrested and charged with drug possession and trafficking. The woman reportedly told police that she believed the plants were tomatoes. The police also questioned her husband, but he was not arrested because he is blind and did not have access to that part of the apartment.  Read Article
