Venezuela, prison employees banned from using cell phones

As of NOvember 7, 2011, employees within the national prison system will be prohibited from using their cell phones.

The inter-relations director of the agency, Francisco Solorzano said the administrative action seeks to create greater peace in prisons. “We all know that cell phones are a distraction for the job. I am a director in the ministry and when I visit a prison I have to leave my phone out of it.” Solorzano said the decision applies only to workers who perform their work inside prisons. Read Article
