Venezuela: Average of Five Trade Unionists murdered each month in 2013

lahora.com.ec reported that an average of five workers per month, mostly trade unionists, were murdered in Venezuela during 2013, according to a report released Monday by the NGO Venezuelan Observatory of Social conflict (SVCO), which accounted for 59 violent deaths of employees and Union members last year. “In this period were 59 murders of workers or Union members, mainly in the construction sector”, says a report by the non-governmental organization entitled ‘ Venezuela: violence in the laboral-sindical environment and impunity in 2013’.
