Uruguay purchasing arms from Russia

Last year, Uruguay became the new Russian client largest exporter of weapons, a fact that came after were confirmed by sales category of $ 10.7000 million. Rosoboronexport, the great Russian arms exporter, sold arms worth over 10,700 billion in 2011, a higher turnover of 2,000 million the previous year, reported Isaykin Anatoli, director of the state agency.

The consortium exported weapons to 57 countries around the world, although their largest customers were India, the countries of Latin America and the Pacific region.

In 2011, the Russian arms agency released new customers: Guatemala, Uruguay, Equatorial Guinea, Czech Republic, Germany, Laos, Mali, Singapore and Sri Lanka. Read Article
