Two drug traffickers caught at Mexico-U.S. border with over $800 thousand in drugs

U.S. customs officials arrested two drug traffickers in separate incidents along the border and seized over $800,000 worth of drugs. The first arrest took place between Matamoros and Brownsville, Texas. A vehicle that attempted to cross the border was sent to a second inspection, according to the Informador. Four packages were found in the car battery, each containing cocaine. The total weight of the drugs was 5.58 kilograms. The second arrest occurred at the “Veteranos” crossing, where officials stopped a woman driving an Audi. The driver, 18, was driving with two other 18-year-olds and a man of 41. They claimed to be legal residents of Texas. 16 packages of methamphetamine were found in the trunk, weighing a total of 11.98 kilograms. Read Article
