Tungurahua volcano Ecuador recording high activity and emission of ash

The Ecuadorian volcano Tungurahua, located in the Andes, has high activity and ash ejected affecting populations around, said the Geophysical Institute (IG) of the University of Quito.
“The activity of the Tungurahua volcano showed a slight increase from the previous days,” said an IG report released to the media.
Furthermore, explained that there were several explosions and emissions, generating plumes of steam and ash, which reached three kilometers high above the crater. For now, said the Institute has been reported ashfall in the towns of Capil, Palictahua and Toctes, near the volcano. Read Article
