Trafficker Attempted to Smuggle Cocaine Hidden in Eggs into El Milagro Prison

From La Republica on July 2, 2013- National Police arrested Víctor Guillén Abanto for attempting to smuggle close to half a kilo of cocaine into El Milagro prison in Trujillo. The drugs were hidden inside eggs, but the suspect’s nervous demeanor betrayed him to the authorities. The authorities were tipped off by an anonymous phone call that alerted the police to the nature of this smuggling attempt. In reviewing the seizure, authorities found that Guillén had taken the trouble to remove the whites and yolks of all the eggs and reseal them so they did not appear broken. Read Article
