Three suspected members of Jalisco Nueva Generación cartel arrested in Mexico

Three individuals suspected to be members of the Jalisco Nueva Generación cartel were arrested as they attempted to transport drugs from Guadalajara to Tijuana, Mexico. The suspects were Freyde Becerra Gómez (36), alias “Chaparro;” José de Jesús Maya Zepeda (44), alias “El Güero;” and Ricardo Salazar Vargas (38), alias “Quinino,” Milenio reports. The arrest occurred on June 10, 2012, during which 21 packages of white powder resembling cocaine were seized. The total weight was 32 kilograms, and the drugs were found inside furniture. 11 plastic trays and two other packages containing a crystal-like substance were also discovered. Four handguns, a rifle, ammunition, two vehicles and communication equipment were also seized. The suspects and seized items were transferred to Mexico City. Read Article
