Sullana, Peru: Police to Impose Tougher Sanctions on Bars Permitting Criminal Activity

On June 26, 13 RPP Noticias reported that the head of the Police Division in Sullana (Piura), Colonel Vicenzo Ieva La Marca, stated during a meeting of the Public Safety Committee that more drastic sanctions will be imposed for bars teeming with criminals and underage youth. Police have registered several trafficking cases at these bars.
According to the police chief, these locals are often closed down only to be reopened the following day. He further stated that despite several attempts to shut down said locals, many continue to operate without any authorization or license to operate. Read Article
