160 workers of the Shared Dreams foundation in Rosario, Sante Fe have gone on strike due to missing wages and after feeling cut off from the Mothers of the Plaza de Mayo since the recent money laundering scandal, according to perfil.com. The Rosario workers, based out of the Barrio Toba neighborhood, have been working on building 250 three-bedroom houses which would make up a new neighborhood, Barrio Journey. They were also charged with building a health and sports center, schools and a security center for the neighborhood. Construction began in May 2010, but has become frustrating and almost impossible for workers to continue. Two months ago they stopped receiving supplies and money, and feel cut off from headquarters in Buenos Aires. Then, last week, there was another delay in a payment of 700 pesos, which fueled workers to organize the strike.
