Seven kilos of cocaine paste and 280 kilos of coca leaves seized in Peru

Over the course of several operations, police in Peru were able to seize seven kilos of cocaine paste and 280 kilos of dried coca leaves. In the town of Tutumbaru, a total of seven kilos, 300 grams of cocaine paste were seized, Info Region reports. Alex Urquizo (22) was arrested in one operation, in which six packages of the drug were found in his vehicle. Alex Walter Fernández (24) was also arrested for transporting drugs in his vehicle. He attempted to flee, but was eventually caught. Meanwhile, officials discovered 280 kilos of coca leaves in Huanta, hidden inside a house. The leaves were concealed in eight bags. A woman was arrested in this operation, who claimed she had transported the drugs to be used domestically in the city. Read Article
