Santa Cruz Bolivia: Sexual assault cases increase 27 percent

The numbers of rape in Santa Cruz increased by 27%, ie, there were 141 new cases. According to figures provided by Maria Rosa Valencia, director of the Defense of Children and Adolescents of the Mayor, the Special Victims Unit (SVU) in 2011 there have been 1014 cases, of which 525 correspond to sexual violence, especially minors between 10 and 15 years.
