Rainfall in central eastern Brazil affecting 120 000 people

Over 120 thousand people have been affected by heavy rains in Mato Grosso do Sul, central eastern Brazil, where millions in losses recorded primarily in the agricultural sector, local authorities said Monday. The last count of Civil Defense indicates that a total of 120 thousand 365 people were affected by the rains of recent weeks and almost 500 have fled their homes in 19 municipalities located in a state of emergency.
