Quito, Ecuador: Police Arrest Two FARC Members

According to ElUniverso.com police arrested two members of the Colombian Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia (FARC) in the southern Quicentro shopping mall in Quitumbe. The FARC members are identified as Andres Guaje Chala and Yanesi Hoyos Alarcon. Guaje is known as Favio Ramrez in the FARC organization and was 2nd in command of the frente 48. Police say that neither had documents at the time of the arrest. The identification of the suspects occurred through an immigration office in Quito with help from Colombian officials. Police say that fingerprint identifications are going to be done to secure the suspects’ identification and their connection to the FARC. Officials say a judge in Quito is making arrangements for the deportation of the suspects to Colombia.Read Article
