Quito, Ecuador: Foreigner Dies after Being Shot Twice

According to ElComercio.com Luis C., 21, from Colombia died early Sunday morning, June 19th, in northern Quito near Eloy Alfaro. Judicial police say that he was struck by several gunshots while waiting at a fast-food stand along with his father. Witnesses say that two gunmen pulled up in a car, got out, fired and fled. A police investigation is underway. Police are investigating two scenarios, the first is that the crime is linked to “settling a score,” and the second, is hired killers. The homicide unit in Quito is waiting for records from the Colombian police. A police officer in the homicide unit said that the records are necessary in order to establish a motive. Police are investigating the area to find more evidence and checking security cameras for a video of the crime.Read Article
