Quito Ecuador Elections: fathers detained when they showed up to vote for not paying child support

A Mario G., 47 years, two policemen waited near the polling station where he would vote. The relatives of the arrested said that the military was with the mother of one of his four children. He was then transferred in handcuffs to the Provisional Detention Center of Quito (CDP). Jairo A. (30 years) said that arrears since January last year and accumulated debt.
