The emergence of a bacterium in the nursing home would be the cause of the death of a newborn and five other disease. The authorities will investigate the incident, while the clinic will be temporarily closed. Cotocollao Clinic, located north of Quito, was closed, yesterday morning, after an infant died and five infants presented a bacterial infection, who are currently in the hospital Baca Ortiz and are in stable condition. The closing operation occurred at 09:00 and was led by officials from the Provincial Health Pichincha, who arranged the immediate transfer of 13 patients at various nursing homes public and private.
