Quito, Ecuador: Assassins Shoot Two People in Northern Area

According to ElComercio.com two people approached a blue Volkswagen Golf car on motorcycle firing 23 rounds into the vehicle. At 8:30 a.m. Saturday June 11th two people were murdered at the light on the streets of Eloy Alfaro and La Republica in Quito. Witnesses report that the assassins were waiting for the vehicle. At this time, the road is vacant and most people are absent. The assailants were using masks and helmets according to witnesses. One victim, a woman, was alive when the ambulance arrived, but died minutes later. The police report that the male victim was a foreigner and a refuge living in Ecuador. The woman has not been identified. Police investigation is ongoing, especially for illegal activities. No relatives have claimed the bodies.
