President elect of Peru, Humala, meets with Uruguay President

President elect of Peru, Ollanta Humala, met with Uruguayan president, José Mujica, yesterday as a part of his tour to the Southern Cone focussing on integration in Latin America. They met at the headquarters of the Uruguayan government, the Executive Tower, in Montevideo to discuss issues like the fight against drug trafficking, business and a merging of education among the two nations. Humala’s education plan involves having students from both nations interact, hoping to improve their professional lives later on. Humala told rpp.com.pe that he and Mujica discovered many things they have in common and have begun to build a friendship. He also invited Mujica to his inauguration in Lima on July 28th.
