Pres of Bolivia reveals Rafael Correa not to run again in Ecuador due to family issues

eluniverso.com reported Bolivian President Evo Morales said Wednesday that his Ecuadorian counterpart Rafael Correa confessed he will not go for re-election for family reasons and that the ruling party, is shaping up to postulating the former vice president Lenin Moreno. Morales said at a press conference in La Paz, Correa asked the revelation during a personal meeting, but did not say where or when. “He said, ‘President, I will not go to repostulación’ I asked why and he said. ‘Family’ Because your wife is European.” Belgian-Ecuadorian educator Anne Malherbe Gosselin, he told Bolivian President. According to Morales, Correa admitted he was “estranged from the family.” Giving details of the conversation, Morales said: “He talked to me, told me before that decision, we are friends, we are partners, we are very confident, anytime we communicate by telephone, have great respect and admiration for President Correa.” Read Article
