Police Seize Illicit Weapons and Equipment in State of Pará, Brazil

On January 2, 2013, Diario do Pará reported that local river police seized a collection of weapons and equipment along the Acará River, in the northeast of the Brazilian state of Pará. They also arrested two men suspected of participating in the transportation of contraband using the items seized. The men will have to first answer for possessing the weapons in the first place, from which the police will then investigate where the contraband came from. Police are especially interested in the origin of a particular 24-gauge shotgun connected to a chamber capable of holding six shells. Read Article
