Police in Porto Velho, Brazil, Seize 30 Kilos of Marijuana

On February 4, 2013, Em Rondônia reported that police seized a vehicle containing 30 kilograms of marijuana en route to the city of Porto Velho, the capital of the state of Rondônia.  The stop was made in Itapuã do Oeste, about 115 km from the capital.  The driver said that he came from Campo Grande, the capital of the state of Mato Grosso do Sul, and that he would be paid R$2,000 for the drugs’ safe passage. He had been asked to deliver the drugs to a man known as “Fabio Cat Eye.” Police have taken the man into custody, and the investigation continues.  Read Article
