Peruvian Police Seize Bolivian Auto With $237,000, Cocaine Residue

According to ElComercio.pe agents of the Peruvian National Police seized a Bolivian truck traveling on the Desaguadero-Moquegua road, license plate 1800AXA, in which agents found $237,000 with adhesions of cocaine. Puno police officials report that the semi-trailer was traveling from La Paz, Bolivia to Matarani, Peru transporting soybean meal. Officials say police found a bag with five packages wrapped in black electrical tape under a cushion in the truck cabin. Within the packages, police found the stash of money, which the driver and his companion denied knowledge of. Police have taken the two into custody, impounded the vehicle and say a drug test on the money was positive.Read Article
