Peru: suspected member of “Shining Path” involved in 50 murders, arrested

The Peruvian police captured after years of searching for a suspected member of the Shining Path guerrilla group that appears involved in 50 murders, 31 of them police and military officials said.

Leoncio Ruiz, “Hector”, fell in the city of San Miguel, Department of Cajamarca, in an operation that went beyond the details, appropriated the DPA news agency.

According to research, Ruiz was one of the most bloodthirsty members of groups “suppression”-units that were responsible for killings in cold blood, in Cajamarca. Read Article
