Peru, earthquakes injures at least 120

The seismic region of Peru’s southern Ica, yesterday suffered two earthquakes measuring 6.2 and 4.0 degrees of magnitude, respectively, which left about 119 injured and damaged 40 houses, five years after the devastating earthquake that killed nearly 600 people in the same area.

The earthquake, in the first 10 minutes (05:10 GMT) with epicenter at 47 kilometers southwest of Ica at a depth of 48 kilometers, was also felt in the regions of Lima and Junin in central Peru, and those of Ayacucho, Huancavelica and Arequipa, south of the country. Read Article
