Peru, Bus accident injures ten tourists

Yesterday during evening hours a omnibuss (combi) from the compnay Porvenir in route from Copacabana Bolivia to Cusco, Peru crashed into a parked truck in the middle of the highway at km 1389.5(near Acora), not displaying emergency lights. Ten tourists were injured and the tour guide who was in the copilot seat died of his injuries. The passengers from the truck fled and police believe they were painting grafitti for the political group Ollanta Humala.

The tourists were from Argentina, Colombia, Israel, Australia, and Holland. Initial reports were the tourists did not have life threatening injuries and mostly suffered contusions.
