Authorities surmise that Seth Thomas age 24, from the U.S. died as a result of head injuries caused by a fall of at least 100 meters from a precipice, while hiking in Cusco Peru. They don’t believe he was a victim of an assault or robbery. His belongings including cell phone, driver’s license, and camera were found at the accident site.

Officials believe that he slipped and probably died on Friday afternoon, as the autopsy showed he had been dead at least 24 hours. He received other bodily injures but it was the head injuries that ended his life. He had arrived in Cusco on June 3, 2017 with 9 other volunteers to work in a private clinic. Police are working with the U.S. embassy to transfer his remains. Read Full Article
