Paraguay: suspended surgeries to deal with patients with dengue

Paraguay’s public hospitals indefinitely suspended surgeries to give priority attention to the more than 13,000 patients with dengue, which has caused 18 deaths this year, formally announced Wednesday. “From Thursday there will be no surgeries because all beds available in hospitals are available for dengue patients,” confirmed Edgar Gimenez, Vice Minister of Health.
