Noriega extradited back to Panama

For two decades he was detained in the U.S.. After Paris has fulfilled his sentence in prison for laundering drug money made in France from December 1988, after his overthrow by U.S. forces in December 1989. Now, former Panamanian General Manuel Antonio Noriega , is about to set foot back home.

Noriega has embarked on Sunday morning in a plane at Orly airport in Paris to be extradited to his country, according to the consul of Panama in France, Aristides Gomez de Leon. The plane that travels Noriega, the Spanish company Iberia, was scheduled to depart at 07.40 local time (0640 GMT) and arrive in Madrid, where she will call.
