New oil reserves discovered in Ecuador

The state-owned Petroecuador oil fields discovered in the Amazon by a volume of 18 million barrels, which partially offset the reduction in reserves and used, said today in a statement. The company said its total proved reserves in 2010 amounted to about 4.693 million barrels.Petroecuador is the second largest oil producer in Ecuador, after the state also Petroamazonas, with a daily pumping of almost 152 000 barrels, more than 500 000 barrels out of the basement of the country in 2011.
