“Narcoinquilinos”: Traffickers Renting Apartments to Store Drugs in Buenos Aires

From 26noticias.com.ar on May 24, 2013- A type of crime known as “narcoinquilinos” where people rent out apartments to be temporarily used to store drugs, is being increasingly used by drug dealers in Buenos Aires, Argentina according to a Argentinean civil association. Recently, federal judge Daniel Rafecas ordered the arrest of two individuals who were renting an apartment in the Belgrano neighborhood. The two suspects are accused of belonging to a narco-criminal organization with ties to Colombian drug gangs.
