Narco-trafficking along Paraguay-Brazil border an intense issue, experts say

Experts report that drug trafficking between Paraguay and Brazil has reached new levels of intensity. Weapons and ammunition trafficking is also an issue between the two countries. According to Diario Vanguardia, marijuana was the most trafficked item, followed by crack, cigarettes, and weapons, consecutively. These items were found in Brazil after extended operations near the border, one of which lasted 20 days. In this operation, over two tons of marijuana trafficked from Paraguay were found, as well as 10 thousand crack cocaine rocks, and 28 million cigarettes.
