More than 100 reported drug sale sites in Piura, Peru

Officials have reported that there are over 100 locations in the Piura district in Peru serving as points of drug sales. In this area, it is estimated that dealers sell 30 kilos of cocaine base, 20 of marijuana, and 5 of cocaine hydrochloride each day. Over 2 thousand people suffer from drug addiction problems in Piura, RPP Noticias reports. There is no state rehabilitation center. 42% of youths between the age of 12 and 14 years have consumed some type of drug, according to a recent study.
