Molina, Chile: Court Sentences Father and Daughter for Labor Trafficking

On August 28, 2013 Emol Noticias reported the sentencing of Manuel Espinoza and his daughter Paola Espinoza Provoste each to 5 years imprisonment. The sentence against the accused for the crime of human trafficking for labor exploitation is the first of its kind in Chile. Espinoza and his daughter were found guilty of trafficking approximately 100 Bolivians into the country to work as erectors of high tension towers. Read Article
