Mexico: U.S. military to train Mexican counterparts in fighting organized crime

According to rpp.com.pe, the U.S. military will train Mexican military in fighting organized crime with the tactics used to fight the terrorism of Al Qaeda. According to U.S. officials and military documents cited by the Associated Press, the Pentagon created for this purpose a new special operations headquarters on U.S. soil. The center, located in the premises of the Northern Command in Colorado, will use the program that allowed military, police and intelligence agents Mexicans studying U.S. counter terrorism operations, according to a document signed on December 31 by the Secretary of Defense Leon Panetta.
