Mexico Report: At least 43 innocent people killed 2011 in armed clashes between law enforcement and organized crime

In a report this afternoon before Congress, the National Human Rights Commission (CNDH) reported that at least 43 innocent people were killed in armed clashes in 2011 between the crime organized and law enforcement as part of the war on drugs waged by the government of Felipe Calderón. Raul Plascencia, owner of the agency, said last year that also saw a 50 percent increase in complaints received, a total of 29 000 439 – against public servants of the three levels of government.
