Mexico: Insurance companies to exclude claims resulting from organized crime

Insurance companies in Mexico are analyzing the possibility of excluding damages resulting from drug trafficking and organized crime from their current damage insurance plans. According to El Economista, Recaredo Arias Jimenez, CEO of the Mexican Association of Insurance Institutions (AMIS for its acronym in Spanish), declared that they are working along specialists from the insurance sector in Colombia to determine whether offering separate insurance plans covering terrorism would represent a better option.
