Mendoza, Argentina: International Drug Network Disbanded

From Terra on July 9, 2013- Steps that were taken based on a seven month investigation allowed Chilean and Argentine authorities to dismantle an international drug ring that was distributing drugs in Chile. Five people were arrested, including one Argentinean and four Chileans, in relation to a scheme to distribute marijuana from Uruguay, through Mendoza and the Los Libertadores Pass to Valparaiso and Santiago. During the arrests 85 kilos 700 grams of marijuana were seized, valued at 210 million pesos. The organization had two leaders, both of which are now in custody at the Los Andes prison. Read Article
