Maternity Leave Extended, Colombia

•According to El Espectador, the President, Senate, and House of Colombia have passed a law extending expecting mothers’ maternity leave from 12 weeks to 14 weeks.
•Mothers are to take leave at least one week before the child’s expected delivery date.
•These rights will be extended to adopted parents.
•In the case of twins, leave will be extended up to 16 weeks. Read Article
