Man in Dominican Republic dies after surgery to remove packets of cocaine from his system

He died mid-morning on Wednesday a man who was held at the Central Hospital of the Armed Forces after emergency surgery to extract several bags of cocaine brought into the stomach of Venezuela, some of which could not drive and therefore had surrendered to the authorities. The National Drug Control (DNCD), the agency confirmed the death, said Luciano Euglis Amador, a native of Neyba, was taken to the clinic after being submitted to a private clinic to undergo surgery, but since the institution where narcotics were alerted.
