Leader of Colombian drug-trafficking gang Los Rastrojos captured in Venezuela

Diego Pérez Henao, better known as “Diego Rastrojo,” was captured early on June 3, 2012 in the Rojas municipality in Venezuela. The operation was coordinated by the National Drug Office in Venezuela with the support of Colombian authorities. He was the head of the Colombian drug trafficking organization Los Rastrojos and is accused of trafficking illicit drugs. He is also wanted for murder, extortion, and hundreds of disappearances, Milenio reports. He has been moved to Caracas where he is being kept under stringent security.
