Laguna Figueroa Argentina: military finalizes demining process of 1400 explosives

elpinguino.com reported that three months after the start of the demining process in the Laguna Figueroa, in the province of Ultima Esperanza, was finalized officially leaving the work clean the land of 1,400 explosives. In the latter area was withdrawn signage that realized the warning “minefield”, work that was attended by provincial and municipal authorities and the director of the International Centre for Humanitarian Demining, Ambassador Stephan Husy. The explosives were removed by Army specialized work, which began in October 2012, and considered the intervention of anti-tank (about 20 inches in diameter) that were 30 inches from the surface.
