Lack of trade pact with South Korea, hurting Ecuadorian businesses

Ecuador, the small South American country is the only Andean Community Nation (CAN) that has yet to sign a trade pact with Korea. Other CAN members are Colombia, Chile and Peru.

Worries already have become a reality as the Ecuadorian producers of 15 commodity goods were hit hard after Korea’s FTA with Chile and Peru went into effect, Marcelo Pazos, general director of the Commercial Office of Ecuador in Seoul, lamented Monday. Read Article
