Japanese delegation takes wrong turn; ends up in Brazilian favela surrounded by narcos

Japanese delegates to the United Nations Conference on Sustainable Development in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, took a wrong turn in the city and wound up in a favela. There, they found themselves surrounded by armed narco-traffickers, Clarin reports. One of the cars was able to flee the area, but another was trapped. Those who escaped called the police, who managed to rescue the other vehicle. No one was harmed.
