Jalisco Mexico: Outbreak H7N3 bird flu believed to originate from wild bird population

The outbreak of H7N3 avian influenza that has affected egg producing farms in the municipalities of Acatic Tepatitlán and probably originated by the presence of wild birds, some of which we know have the virus and have an activity normal life in parts of the Pacific Ocean, from Canada to Chile, making it impossible to prevent the spread of some species, said Eugenio Cruz Sanchez, director of the National Health Service, Food Safety and Agro-food Quality (SENASICA), who noted that this is the first time that an outbreak of this nature occurs in the country.
