National police in Alicante, Spain arrested a group of six narco-traffickers that transported drugs from South America to Europe. According to El Confidencial, one of the arrestees, a Belgian citizen, was wanted in Europe for trafficking drugs from South America. He had been involved in a shipment of 35 kilos of cocaine at the port of Antwerp in 2011, but as an arrest was not possible, a European arrest warrant was issued. During this most recent operation, police seized 210 doses of cocaine, 86 grams of hashish, and 53 grams of marijuana in two home raids. Several cell phones, 1,300 euros, expensive watches, drug-handling tools, and accounting documents were also discovered. Read Article
