Illiteracy rate in Guatemala at 16.63 percent

Authorities of the National Literacy Committee confirmed Monday that illiteracy in the country is 16.63 percent rate reduction in 2013 seeking to declare six departments free of illiteracy. The highest rates of illiteracy in the country and are in Joyabaj Chichicastenango, Quiché, and Panzós, Alta Verapaz, a record with more than 45 percent. Read Article
