Ibarra, Ecuador: Abandoned Truck With 1.2 Tons of Marijuana

ElComercio.com reports that Ibarra police discovered a truck with 1.2 tons of marijuana in the center of the city. Officials say the marijuana shipment was found this past weekend, however an official announcement occurred today, Monday July 18th. The commander of police in the northern zone, Saul Subia says the load is the largest registered discovery in the Imbabura province. Officials say that from January to June 2011 police have confiscated 974,733 grams of marijuana, cocaine, and heroin.Read Article
